The First Rhythm

​

The sea is the origin of everything, and the primitive soundscape. The sound of water that transforms to myriad forms gives us great pleasure more than anything else. The beat of water over all frequencies stirs up the consciousness that was far away. The expression for listening the rhythm of the sea that changes its appearance forever. I think this is one way for us to grasp the near but far vast ocean “Sea of Japan”.

海は全てのはじまりであり、原音風景であると言える。その無数の形に変容する水の音は、他の何にもましてわれわれに大きな喜びを与え、全周波数にわたる水の鼓動が、遠い忘れかけていた意識をかき立てる。姿を変えながら永遠に生き続ける海のリズムを聴き取り、表現することを試みる。これは、私たちが広大なる海「日本海」を捉えるための一つの方法であると考える。
